Mini prairie

The grasses were being shown off to their best in yesterday evenings light. This small area of garden came about because of a photo I saw in a gardening magazine and I've really struggled to get them to grow to this stage - who would have thought that grass could be so difficult to get growing!  At least they've done better than the Rudbeckia which have hardly grown at all since they emerged as tiny seedlings.

Ann's first haircut yesterday afternoon (see extra) just to take off the ends and neaten the shape.  So a milestone worth recording on Blip.  It's just over a year since Roxanne took the clippers to it and gave it a number two shave (before the chemo treatment began).   Roxanne is now in Australia and our new hairdresser is her sister who has stepped into her shoes (so to speak).
