So...after devastating house fire last week, loss adjuster phones and tells me that our policy may be invalid as we have incorrectly answered that there are no cliffs, seafronts, riverbanks, quarries or other excavations within 400m of our property. He tells me that there is a watercourse (brook) that we should have disclosed, as it comes under 'excavations'!!! Insurers may not have taken on the policy if they'd been aware of this risk (he says). I'm arguing my case...a brook is a natural feature not a ******* excavation!!!!
At best, this means a two week delay before any remedial work can happen. At worst....don't want to go there...
I'm at the end of my ******* tether....aaaaaargh!!!!!!!!!!!!
