"...forth by rustic music led"

Blast Furness led the procession at Grasmere Rushbearing this afternoon. It's an ancient tradition, something to do with placing new rushes on the floor of the church each year. Wordsworth wrote a poem about it, called Rural Ceremony; I like to think he would have appreciated our carnival band playing Radioactive and I'll Fly Away. We appreciated the sandwiches and gingerbread.
