Splash
As a compliment to my 'swoosh' blip from a couple of weeks ago I thought a 'splash' blip was required. It's high tide therefore this presents some options, this is a mini beach at low tide but at high tide the waves against the wall give great splashes. So I'm at McMahons point again (same as yesterday) looking only at the bridge and opera house.
as always best in large
To get this photo the requirements are
- wait for high tide and get close to water
- get wet
- set camera up slightly underexposed and wait for waves
- get wet
- have flash ready to manually fire when a wave splashes
- get wet
- be patient and wait for passing boats and other moving objects to move on
- get wet
- take more photos than you expect, because lens has water drops, things move, waves don't appear or don't splash in front of you
- get wet
- do this on summer night because getting wet sucks on a cold winters night.
- go home.
