The Lloyds

This is part of an installation at the Nelson Provincial Museum in memory of the 41 immigrant children who died on the trip from the UK to Nelson aboard the Lloyds in the early 1840's.  The women and children on board were wives and children of the settlers who had already arrived.
The extra photo:
These little bottles contain locks of hair from all the children whose ages ranged from triplets of 4 days old to 3 years, with one older child at 12.
The extra photo is of the two little bottles that contain hair from two of my husband's ancestral family.
