The Bard at the Back Of Sainsbury's

My Dear Fellow,

This is Burns on Bernard Street, right when you get to the bottom of Constitution Street and before you turn left onto Bernard Street, then left again to The Shore.

When living there, I would often catch sight of Mr. Burns from the top of the number 16 bus and I always felt like he was welcoming me home, as he appeared just before my stop.

This photo was also taken from the bus and just so you know I nearly fell down the stairs taking it.

It seems bizarre that he is tucked away in Leith, next to the breakfast roll places, the off-licence and Sainsbury's. You'd think he'd have pride of place in the city centre.

Or perhaps he'd not like it, rubbing shoulders with Pitt and Melville and Scott and that lot. Here, he's round the corner from the Port o' Leith, The King's Wark and Nobles which probably suits him much better.
