Blue on green

It's not as big an image as I would have liked, but it was good to get a dragonfly. The extras are from the same walk (near Farnborough Hall in Oxfordshire). I saw a grass snake too, but it moved too quickly (or I moved too slowly) for me to capture it.

Slightly distressingly, I also saw a mole emerging from the end of a cut tree-trunk, only then to realise that it was dead. I suspect it might have been planted there as poisoned bait for something - fox? bird of prey? This is something I've come across a few times in recent years, and it's not a pleasant practice. I took a picture but decided against posting it here.
