Machen Mast Walk

We've had our friends staying wth us this weekend. Last night we went to a local Inn for a meal and drink which was really enjoyable.

After breakfast this morning, the weather was dry, a bit overcast and humid. We decided on a walk from the house and chose the walk to the top of the mast on Machen Mountain we can see from our conservatory. It's a bit of a uphill hike but the views are lovely and on a clear day you can easily see the english coastline. Today it wasn't that clear but at least  the rain kept away.

The blip picture is of a dead try we walked past on the way down. I just like the simplicity of it and hope you do too.

This evening is the France v Portugal Euro final which kicks off at 8pm. I'm hoping for a French win, only on the basis that I'm not a fan of petulant Ronaldo plus they beat Wales!
