Well done!

Today daughter #2 completed a triathlon (Half Ironman or The Gauntlet) at Hever Castle, Kent. She swam 1.9km in the lake, cycled 90km and then finished with a 21km off-road run.  Just amazing!

Although she started very early this morning, we didn’t catch up with her until this afternoon (after we had taken the two older grandchildren to their gymnastics session – very impressive the two of them are).
 
The first extra, taken at the Transition Stage, shows the star as she came in after the bike ride, the second extra shows her soon after, as she was starting out on the run. This picture was taken as she finished the whole thing and was joined for the last few yards by her two young nieces.  She was exhausted. Hardly surprising. 
 
Lots of competitors for various events, lots of families supporting. A great atmosphere. 

We ended the afternoon with a very late lunch in a local pub. A good day altogether. I couldn’t resist adding another photo – a rare picture of the two older girls together. And then there is the little one doing her own circuits as we waited at the finish.
