Whilst it's nice to finally see an adder in one of the areas they're alleged to infest it would have been more useful if it had been at some point in the previous thirty-four years' worth of visits rather than when I was accompanied by two youngsters. Perhaps because I was creeping along quietly holding briars out of the way for Edgar rather than blundering along at unaccompanied pace that we got within spotting-distance before it slithered into the undergrowth.
