Tundra
We hiked in the direction of Mount Ida today. Didn't quite make it to Mount Ida with Sebastien, but we did get above the treeline and ate our food among the flowers of the tundra, surrounded by curious marmots and gorgeous views on both sides of the continental divide (which we were on).
Sebastien wasn't too pleased with the constant wind up there, so we turned around after eating and went back down. Then we ran into a pair of male elk eating by the trail and later another one who tried to charge at us down by Lake Poudre. What with those and the two musk deer who were grazing right outside our picture window this morning, Sebastien got to see a lot of new animals today.
