A bit of painting outside
After taking our walk and visiting my sister in assisted living, I had a free afternoon to do a little watercolor painting on the patio. I started out with the berry bowl with cherries. The bowl provides lovely memories, as it was a gift from a good friend who used to live in Seattle, but moved back to Ohio. Then I tackled my new pot of flowers. Not happy with either little painting, but every step is a learning experience.
“I learned this, at least, by my experiment: that if one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”
― Henry David Thoreau, Walden: Or, Life in the Woods
