Angus McAskill - the Giant of Skye

While visiting Dunvegan castle on Skye we called in on this unusual museum dedicated to Angus McAskill a giant born on a neighbouring island who grew to 7ft 9 ins
He earned a living as a circus act with a midget which he carried on his shoulders.

Although the family emigrated to Canada while Angus was a child his memory lives on in the minds of the people on the Isle of Skye.

One if his descendants Peter has dedicated the last 23 years to creating a museum to his memory.
He is in the photo with a young visitor and replicas of The Giant and The Midget.
