Beautiful Criccieth Castle

Built by the Welsh themselves, in the 1230's not by the Normans and a real beauty. fought over many times and now preserved hopefully for another thousand years.
It was built by Llywelyn the Great of the kingdom of Gwynedd but it was heavily modified following its capture by English forces of Edward I in the late 13th century.
