Summerlee - Museum of Scottish Industrial Life

Parental leave is great. It's so good having days off when I'm normally at work. Kerr and I were supposed to be visiting a friend from work and her 3 week old baby today. However, Kerr has quite a bad chesty cough and runny nose, so we had to postpone our visit.

Instead, we took advantage of a rare warm and sunny day and went to Summerlee with J and baby L. Kerr usually loves hugging and kissing L, so he found it difficult today having to keep his distance to prevent spreading germs.

It was my first visit to Summerlee and I was very impressed. Kerr has been lots of times before with his childminder. We had great fun at the play park, inside the museum, looking at the old houses and huge machines. We also tried some hula hooping and stilts. Definitely worth a return visit, perhaps after the schools go back when it will be less busy.
