A Weekend Away

This showfield will be our home for the weekend! Kirkcudbright in Dumfries & Galloway, Southern Scotland.

The Mate and I set off this morning to head over the border. This is a nice little Country Fair which we have been attending for a few years. We were kept waiting for two hours before being told where to pitch our stand. 

THEN we were told the wrong place! Once the lorry arrived with the arena fence we could tell there wasn't enough space in front of our marquee.

SO one of the committee members shouted loudly for nine more men to come and move our 8 metre long marquee, one to each pole, setting it down while The Mate re-hitched the trailer and drove it to the new pitch and positioned it ready for the marquee to be marched along to its new place.

It was a good job we hadn't started to put the stock out. By early evening this small, lightweight, red & white stall had been erected in our old pitch.
