Vinci and the Tuscan night sky

today the Tuscan summer started for full. 
This morning, our car told us it was already 33 degrees C, and after visiting San Miniato, and thereafter Vinci (which was a beautiful, friendly and calm small town with cute shops, a fabulous view and really nice people) the temperature climbed to 43 degrees. We felt a bit baked and ready to just lying in the shades.
But we did get some souvenir shopping done in Empoli and ended with pizza from the local pizzeria, a nice bottle Chianti and a huge water melon. Tomorrow we still have the daytime to soak up all the summer we can, and then we´ll be off home into the cold North in the evening.
