Boring

There's been a lot of road work going on outside the studio for the past few weeks.  It's supposed to continue most of the summer, much to our frustration.  Today a crew of guys bored under the road and pulled a conduit back through for wires and cables for the new traffic lights and crosswalk.  It was pretty cool to watch.  The machine on the other side of the road drilled through under the pavement as one of the guys tracked the tip with a device.  Once through, they changed out the drill tip, attached the flex pipe and then pulled it back under until the pipe was exposed on both sides. Quite an operation without ever having to close the road to traffic!
