More blips on a theme!

Birmingham has traditionally had some exuberant floral displays during the summer months - Wallace and Gromit one year, a Spitfire another, and more I can't specifically remember. So no surprise they have commemorated the Olympics in blooms this year.

Especially apt as the boys did good (well great) yesterday with their team bronze (and I shall magnanimously ignore the silver medal holders)

This chap is to be found in Victoria Square, surrounded by the stalls that will become this weekends Jamaican festival, to celebrate 50 years of Jamaican independence.
