Selfie with a Kelpie

There's been a few blips of the Mini Kelpies over the last few days and today we took a trip into Inverness to see them.
They looked very grand in front of the College Campus and among the wonderful parkland.
I have nt seen the larger ones at Falkirk which stand at 100ft but they must look stunning as these ones looked great at 1:10 the scale of the Falkirk Kelpies. I liked the little human figure at the base of one of them.
Lots of people were taking their time admiring them , from Grannies with their Grandchildern to couples like us. It was nice to see people enjoying them and then having a walk round the Loch.
Great to see little children feeding the ducks with grain rather than bread and riding on bikes and scooters over the 'bumps'.
Plenty of wildlife too. The swans with their large cygnets, Moorhens with young of various sizes, mallards, black headed gulls, swifts, swallows, damselflies and even a very large Brown hare :)
We sat and had an icecream and a cup of tea and enjoyed the warmth of the sun. Heavy downpours disrupted the end of the afternoon.
Good news as a newly born dolphin has been spotted, Charlies gone out to find more info :)
Just for the record, David Cameron left 10 Downing Street and is now having tea with the Queen and handing in his resignation as Prime Minister. Theresa May will be our new Prime Minister by the end of the day.
Also Len Goodman has resigned from Strictly Come Dancing, who's next !
