Make Life Remarkable

Discovered a new coffee chain today... Icons - from Germany of all places. They do 100% organic coffee and G wanted to check it out. She reckoned the cappuccino she had was smoother and less bitter than any other she'd tried. I just liked their comfy seats and strapline...

But the most exciting thing about today was popping into Deerfield Mall on the way back to Dubai to play on this particular air-hockey table (Pac Man Smash). We'd seen in last year in March, and I've been thinking about it since then!! ;)  They'd moved the games round in this arcade, so we actually had to ask a member of staff if they still had it. I hope you can see how WILD it is... not just one puck on the table, but several, going every which way - mostly into your own goal. I stopped to get a picture, and no surprises - G won that game.

This arcade is so cool - it actually has four air-hockey tables. We tried three of them. The last one (SEGA) was one of the best ever I've played on. SO smooth... the puck glided so effortlessly, it was actually quite hard to control.

And before all this fun, G saw her oncologist who says she is doing really well... All the test levels are correct, and as they couldn't get to the bottom of the cause of her seizure, he's happy to leave it as a one-off provided G doesn't overdo it gets enough rest. It was an excellent visit and he doesn't want to see her again till January.

Got home to watch the handover of Prime Minister posts in London... All so interesting! :)
