Floral Clock 2016
This is the beautiful floral clock which is created every year since 1903 in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh. It takes many man-hours to complete and can contain over 40,000 plants. Each year has a different theme - this year it is architecture. The clock itself is made using the mechanism of a redundant turret clock. In 1905, a cuckoo was added - which you can maybe see in the birdhouse next to the display. It pops out every hour. The Floral Clock won a Gold Medal in its' centenary year at the Chelsea Flower Show.
