New Oak

I can only guess that the reason that there are a number of oak saplings appearing on the lawn is a jay that secreted acorns lat autumn.  The nearest oak tree is some distance away so it's unlikely that they found their own way to the lawn.

It's a pity that the lawn needs mowing as the oaks will have to go.
