Hello Archie....

This is my husband's cousin's daughter's baby!!!  I think that involves a once or twice removed somewhere.  Little Ro and I popped over today after all the hoo ha had died down.  We saw on Facebook that they'd been inundated with "aunties and uncles" over the past three weeks and we wanted to pick a quiet time to go and see the new baby.  I took a bag full of cameras and lenses but for the most part the trusty Sony RX1 with the beautiful f2 Zeiss lens came up trumps once again.  A big learning curve for me.  The light wasn't great and of course he was all scrunched up.  Skin tones are a problem and it was difficult not to take the same picture over and over, however I picked about half a dozen that I'm happy with.  The main pic is from the Leica M240/50mm Summilux combo...... not the most attractive of pics and the parents might hate it but for me it sums it all up... the little old man look of a newborn!    Hopefully when we visit again in the next few weeks I'll be able to refine my method somewhat ;)
