Salvia "Amistad"

Another busy day.  Off to Edinburgh tomorrow visiting youngest daughter Katkatkat.  As a result I was again wandering round the garden looking for inspiration.  This Salvia caught my eye.  Clickychick bought it at one of the stalls over the weekend.  

This is (in spite of how it looks in the shot) the blackest flower I have ever seen.  I gather (I don;t follow Wimbledon) that the variety could be seen behind interviewers on the Wimbledon programmes.  It has a long flowering period from May to October.

Met up with my brother for our usual "Wednesday", collected spare garden tools for Katkatkat ready for heading up to Edinburgh tomorrow.
