Living in perfect harmony

I was thinking about the terrible racism shown recently to Polish folk, Muslims and others. It's awful. 

Then I spotted this vista earlier this afternoon from a Glasgow beer garden. 

In amongst the Victorian tenements is the gurdwara with its distinctive golden dome. This is where it should be - in amongst everyday living. 

I'm Catholic and our churches are in the heart of communities. There was a time in Glasgow when we weren't welcome either. 

We've come a long way. 

Hopefully leaving the EU doesn't take us backwards.
