AbstractThursday55: Fit for a Monarch

I've been practicing with a new lens. Trying to decide if I'll keep it. It's the Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.5 IS M2 and it's a beast! A bit heavy for me to hand hold, but I've been working on my arm strength at the gym for several months now in anticipation of purchasing this lens. Yesterday's blip of the Hummer at Rest, was shot with it, so is this portion of a Monarch Butterfly's wing. I think that the detail is quite amazing! All I did was crop this shot for AT. The lens will min.focus at 3.2'. Yep, I think it's a keeper and will no doubt go with me to Costa Rica next month. :)
