walking the walk....

This young red grouse was walking with intent by the side of the road in the early morning sunshine. The rest of the family very sensibly stayed on the moor... 

The extra is a gorgeous young curlew. Again this morning, but when the sun had already disappeared... and then another little owl (pair number 2), walking very swiftly down the roof with its shadow....
