Excoriation?

The roof of a bus shelter as viewed from the top deck of the bus. I assume the movement of the leaves and twigs has eroded the dirt in an interesting pattern. Or perhaps a drunken snail fell into a pot of white paint and wandered across the roof.

Any other theories?
