I know not whence they came.
There used to be three, seldom cut, hedges when we moved in. Removal thereof and insertion of fences gained a few square yards of garden. This area lurking behind the greenhouse has never been cultivated as I recall. They are useful as a supply before the Autumn fruiters start up though.
