25 minutes before we leave on holiday

Every year I wait and watch as the bright red shoots of the peonies pop up from the ground, stretch and grow leaves and then buds. I watch the buds swell and fill out until they are just about to burst and then....... I seem to have to go away. When I return the flowers have gone for another season.
Well this year I almost succeeded, a few early flowers are out and the rest will follow soon. But not in the next 25 minutes. Never mind there is always next year.
