Wingnut

Not the thing that secures a wheel to a bicycle, but a tree - The Caucasian Wingnut, botanically called Pterocarya fraxinifolia which produces eye-catching chains green catkins that can grow up 60cm (2ft) long.

Too large for most gardens, I saw this beautiful specimen at Bury St Edmunds in the extensive grounds of the ruined Abbey.
