Flower Friday...
...the twist for today's challenge is with music so this has to be with "The flight of the bumblebee"

BUT then we have a double twist because I have never seen this variety of bee before. It looks and behaves as a cross between a fly and a dronefly. It's back legs are extraordinarily long when it stretches them out as it is getting the pollen. It doesn't have the busyness a normal bee here in the UK has. Bees here are normally very busy and move frantically most of the time making it very hard to get a decent photo.
This bee on the other hand stayed still in one position as it was gathering pollen that I began to doubt it was a bee, but it was collecting pollen in its back leg sacs. There were hundreds of these bees. I didn't like the sting department look of its back end. It's wings looked like that of a fly. It has very big black eyes.
Perhaps someone can tell me the variety of bee it was? These bees were on the Wirral, Cheshire.
