Mark my words, a star is born

This guy is gonna make it. Certainly deserves to. Fi performed his first stand-up on Monday night at the Stand. Tonight in the Argyll Bar open mic night he performed the material just as well, with a disengaged (and small) crowd not giving quite the same spark. 

He's good though. Very good.

My advice to him after the show, to not let the lack of engagement get to him, struck a chord, as I realised I hadn't taken that advice myself after an iffy poetry slam debut a couple of years back. So I'm scouting for Edinburgh poetry open mic nights. 

Could be interesting.
