With the few photo's Samantha has uploaded I chose this one.
Monterey Bay, California, for a long time it was on my 'Bucket List' but I visited several years ago.
The aquarium, John Steinbeck's "Cannery Row", the breathtaking scenery, the pier, the otters an incredible experience.
California's equivilant to Falmouth, could be, but there is no investment in Falmouth. It's good to have a skateboard park, a family park in Kimberley Park and other local amenities.
But they don't draw the tourists, the Maritime Museum, Sea Safaris, Port Pendennis, etc that's what draws visitors but if you then rob them with car park charges, failure to provide adequate bus services and allow the town to continue to appear run down.
'Britain In Bloom' is a veneer of looking good over a deteriorating town.
