Maya exhibition (backblip)
On Saturday I went to Assen, in the province of Drenthe to see an exhibition on Mayan culture, which has been on my wishlist to see. Upon entering the exhibition area I saw some large artefacts and a lot of bare wood panels. I was disappointed, "is this all?". But as it happens, most of the smaller artefacts were hidden behind the wood panels. Every two wooden panels would hold several glass cases to show the artefacts. The wood panels were designed in such a way to make them look like a Mayan temple from the front, something I didn't realize immediately.
I had a great time, a very interesting and worthwhile exhibition to visit.]
