Peruvian Lilies
Backblip for Friday 15th July 2016
Up the road to the jam factory (Wilkin & Sons) on the outskirts of Tiptree for a coffee and a shared chocolate brownie with Mum. I shall have to cut down on the naughty treats again, or all the weight I've lost over the past few months will creep back on.
I'm not normally in Essex on Fridays, but it was nice to see some of the lovely people from our church here in the afternoon for the house group which Mum hosts. They've got behind with the current course because of Mum being out of action for the past few weeks. I enjoyed the discussion in particular, which was similar to how we did my confirmation course.
The Alstroemeria flowers in my photo were on our table in the jam factory tearoom. As well as being called Peruvian Lilies, this beautiful bloom is sometimes known as the Lily of the Incas.
