Ice Bar
A funny day today.
Our India party was good, but it didn't quite match our Filipino one last year ;-) We were very lucky as several families cooked for us, and the children got to taste it all. We had some older children perform India dance as well.
School reports went out, and before I'd even seen all the children out the door, a parent wasn't happy and came to tell me that the school had let her child down. After I've formulated my response, we shall meet to discuss it on Monday. There's a reason the reports go out on a Friday....
After school I came home and had a nap. Pathetic, but I'm pooped. A friend of mine had her birthday last week, and we had organised a trip to the Ice Bar for her celebration.
After some parking dilemmas, I met them a bit late. We walked up to the station around 9pm. We went for a drink first, then to the Ice Bar. It was freezing. Hardly surprising! It reminded me of Winter, and I remember that I hate winter. I lasted half an hour with my ice glass and mittens on, and then came out ten minutes before the end of our slot! Way too cold for me! We weren't sure what we were going to do- it was a toss up between going out in Clapham, or drinking back in Woking. In the end they chose the latter, so we hot-footed it back to the station. Unfortunately we were "those" people on the train, and I suspect people were glad to see us get off ;-) We got back around 12, and I decided to call it quits. I was so tired, and I knew I'd still have to drive home. I would have liked to stay out, but this fatigue is definitely becoming a problem.
In bed just after 1am. * I must have been tired, as I didn't wake up until 11am the next day!
