On the road again....
Well, it is Monday
It was a good decision to stay in a hotel last night. We were able to relax and then Glenn just popped over to his appointment when we got up and I was able to take my time getting ready for the day and packing the car for the drive back home. One cool thing is that Glenn got on priceline.com and we got the $125.00 room for $60.oo. We had never used them before. We will be remembering that next time!!
We left that appointment and headed to his next one which was about an hour and a half drive from there. Got all that done and hit the road. Boy was I ready. I DO NOT miss that traffic or all those people! We stopped at costco then got outathere. Made it home after 11 but were happy to be here.
one dr. was his ophthalmologist. He has been being watched for high pressure in his eyes and unfortunately, one eye has about 30% glaucoma. If we are really good about putting his eye drops in daily it can be maintained at that but it can't be reversed. We will be very good with the eye drops
second dr. was pain management dr. They suggested a something something stimulator. Basically, a shock mechanism that is surgically put into him and attached to his spine. He would have a remote control. The battery would have to be changed once a year, surgery, or he could have a rechargeable where he has to sit against a thing to charge it every couple days. That "only" has to be changed, surgery, every few years. ugh. He is weighing whether it is worth more surgery and the cost...ugh again
We were heading home down I-5 during sunset. I had taken some pretty shots of downtown Portland from a park not far from the second dr. appointment as well as some ladybugs on Queen Anne's Lace but when I looked over and saw these hay bails in the blowing dirt with the sun shining through I pulled over and snapped a few shots. Wished I would have gotten out of the car to take the shots. The sun rays through the dust were cool. Oh well. Still a neat photo and different than what I have been posting so decided to use this photo.
Home Sweet Home
Happy Monday
