Cricket on the Green

It has been a while since I posted a shot of cricketers on the Green at Bearsted so today was the perfect opportunity to rectify the situation as I passed by on my way to the allotment. The batsman had just completed a bit of an effective cow shot and both he and the wicketkeeper were watching the ball on its way to the boundary - which in this case is the road around the Green.

It's been quite warm today, humid with lots of cloud around. Warm at the allotment where I picked strawberries, blackcurrants and gooseberries and did a bit of watering.

Even at gone 10pm in the evening it was over 21C while we were sitting out in the gathering gloaming after eating dinner outside. The forecast for the next few days is good too.
