Welcome back!

It was last Sunday when we had our first full visit from the village peacock.

Our last sighting was on Tuesday afternoon though we had a near neighbour round on Thursday saying it was in her garden terrorising her chickens!

This morning he was in the garden again and then he visited next door which was a nice welcome back for them as they have been away for two weeks and missed all his antics on their roof and window ledge.

He has been displaying a lot more on this visit and came back into our garden for a drink from the birdbath. He settled down after for a little rest amongst our pots as we headed off to church.

Still in the garden when we got back pecking at the seed dropped from the feeders. He displayed again which is when I took this and then attempted to land on our conservatory roof much to the cats alarm.

He's departed for now but I think this peacock saga is going to continue.
Our neighbour with chickens contacted the RSPCA and they think he looks fit and well and can't do anything unless one is reported missing.
Apparently it's not uncommon for them to be abandoned.
