Practicing.....

....both me and the coastguard helicopter. I was practising with the manual setting again. I went to the beach with Daisy, with the aim of working on landscape shots, but then I noticed the Coastguard helicopter that was practising manoeuvres in the Solent. It was great to watch it was hovering low over a RIB (inflatable speedboat), and tracking it, matching its speed and flying parallel to it. Then a man was winched down. Then the helicopter circled and it started all over again, the next time without winching the man down. This went on a few more times. On one of the circles the helicopter flew right over my head, this was the best shot I could get, but I'm pretty pleased with it as it was only a 55mm lens. Before it flew over I was trying to set my camera up to get a bit of blur on the blades, and was pleased with the outcome, but it was more luck than judgement I think ;)
