Foal Farm summer festival

Our lovely neighbour is the manager of Foal Farm Animal Reacue in Biggin Hill. Today was their summer festival and we helped out in the children's arts and craft marquee. The activities are aimed at 2 to 12 year olds and it was wonderful to see them spending hours decorating and colouring ceramics and other decorative objects. In an age when children have ipads and iphones, computer games etc it is great to see them enjoying these basic hands on activities.

Foal Farm is an animal rescue taking unwanted cats and dogs for rehoming, and provides a safe sanctuary for many different farm animals. They live in a wonderful rural environment.

Today's festival will probably raise about £20,000 and will pay the vets bills for two months.

It has been a very enjoyable day, and the weather was kind to us. May the summer continue.
