Festival Carnival

We were in town with our visitors today, and happened upon a parade.  We had no idea what it was about, but googling afterwards revealed that it is Edinburgh's celebration of its summer festivals, kicking off with the Jazz & Blues festival at the moment. There was such a crowd, that all I could do was hold the camera above heads and hope for the best.
