Race to the stones 100k - 62 miles ultra marathon

Despite best intentions had to stop at 32.19 miles due to feeling unwell and crippling blisters.
My wife who is at more at home in water and one of the best swimmers in the UK for her age stuck with me and went way outside her comfort zone on land and kept up with me, an incredible achievement.
My American friend friend said why would anyone want to run 32 miles if they had a car.......he is probably right ... i will stick to marathons in future!!.
