Aftermath

Yesterday's party wasn't a classic, but was still pretty good. One highlight was the family's two best singers' unrehearsed duet of "New York, New York" (see extra, after midnight!).

Today we returned to the boulodrome to finish tidying up, with lunch (see extra) providing an opportunity to start working our way through all the food and drink which was not consumed. This is one of three cases of apricots (grown on a family farm) which were hardly touched so apricot jam-making will start soon. There is enough cold coffee for days and rosé (in wine boxes) for weeks. There's no real waste since, ultimately, anything inedible is fed to the hens.
