The Gatekeeper

I went for a quick early morning stroll along the coastal footpath this morning.  Swifts were swirling around the River Otter and I spent a little time trying to capture a shot with them inthen I climbed up the pathway along the hill tops where I spotted several of these butteflies.  They are known as The Gatekeeper or Hedge Browns.

A very hot day today and I ended it by giving the allotment a well deserved water.
