Rose chafer

I love chafer beetles, and I was really pleased to find this beautiful green Rose chafer  Cetonia aurata today,
The Rose chafer is found throughout the UK, (but I have only ever seen 4!) and whilst the larvae eat rotting vegetation the adult beetles eat pollen, and can be found in flowers doing just that. They are quite large ~ 20mm long and a very beautiful iridescent green in color, certainly one of my favorite beetles!
