I can do it myself

Today I had tears in my eyes as I went to see Miss Maddie get an award for 100 days at school. I was so proud of her!!! I was so impressed with what the school had organised they had posters of each child with a picture taken on there first day, looking nervous yet excited!!! hard to believe it was this year, as the little lady I saw today was one of great confidence, she was very comfortable being on stage in front of the assembly. There was a mini slide show of what they all have been doing so far that year, all the kids thought it was really funny to see themselves on a large screen Each prep was called forward to receive an award and shake the principals hand. They all looked so grown up and they all relished in this large milestone!

Finally they had a parade. the older children formed a circle which then the preps walked around and held up their artwork which they had to make to symbolised them being at school 100 days(something made with 100 things) Maddie made a pink heart made out of all different pick buttons.The pride on their little faces and the enjoyment in being in the spotlight was just amazing to watch, they were all glowing !! the older children were fantastic too making a big fuss over them. Maddie came home saying it was the best day of school ever! The principle had said only 2670 days until they graduate from year 12, hmm I CAN wait for that it seems they grow far too quickly and are way to keen to get there.
