Closer...

To put this in perspective, I was sitting on my doorstep, with mug of tea and camera to hand for another early morning blip when this young blackbird came and started hopping about.

Of course, I had the macro lens on the camera, but amazingly, the bird came to within two or three feet of me, allowing for a sizeable image.  This shot has been cropped - but not by all that much.

Apologies for the lack of comments tonight - and probably throughout the week, but this early morning photo shoot was soon followed by the long drive up to the Lake District... :)
